Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know. - Jer. 33:3
My name is Gina Hunjak. My wonderful husband is Goran Hunjak. We love Jesus and we have three beautiful children. I’m thankful to the Lord that I am alive today and can share what He has done in my life. Jesus saved me when I was almost 5 years old. However, I didn’t always put Him first in my life, but He was patient and merciful with me and He has shown me He is with me always even when I’m not aware of it.
On June 2, 2001, I was cooking on an ungrounded stove. I grabbed the skillet handle and the refrigerator door at the same time and I was electrocuted. My body took in 38 milliamps of electricity which is seven times more than a human should survive.
In the midst of the most horrific experience of my life God was with me. After 6-8 seconds of riding out the electrocution, with a flash of light the Lord broke my right hand away from the refrigerator door and literally held me in His presence. In the moment, I felt perfect, pure love, peace, and joy.
The Doctors diagnosis was permanent brain damage and a very painful life until I died. The brain damaged caused up to 40 seizures a day, uncontrollable body movements and thrashings, inability to walk, and total paralyzation, sometimes for days.
I lived in bed, in total darkness and isolation. But the Lord never gave me more than I could bear, and He blessed me with no options, but to look to Him.
For two years my body deteriorated. But, I believed God would heal me. He taught me to pray, to confess, to cry out with all of my heart, and to claim His promises.
Exactly two years later, to the day, I was in the valley of the shadow of death when during prayer, God began healing me. For 5 days He rebuilt my body and restored me to my youth.
I learned that Almighty God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
I didn’t deserve a new beginning, a new life, but it was His will.

My challenge today is like yours, to share, and remember what Jesus Christ has done, because of His love.
